Is the secret of growing up that of life becoming more of a torment each day? I understand, just now, how a religion like Buddhism could develop...why people quest for inner peace, and cut themselves off from lust and greed in an effort to cut themselves off from pain. Is this the curse of sin? That the more our eyes are opened to what is, the more pain we experience?
